Sinopsis
Un joven llamado Jason (Michael Angarano), que siente una gran pasión por el cine de Kung Fu, visita regularmente una casa de empeños en el barrio chino buscando películas. En una de sus visitas descubre un bastón que ha visto en un sueño recientemente y más tarde se ve envuelto en un atraco en la misma casa de empeños, tras el cual huye con el bastón. En medio de la huida cae desde una azotea y es milagrosamente transportado a la China medieval. Con la ayuda del Luchador Borracho (Jackie Chan), el Monje Silencioso (Jet Li), y el Gorrión Dorado (Yifei Liu), deberá entregar el bastón al Rey Mono, quien fue transformado en una estatua de piedra hace tiempo atrás.
Synopsis
An American teenager who is obsessed with Hong Kong cinema and kung-fu classics makes an extraordinary discovery in a Chinatown pawnshop: the legendary stick weapon of the Chinese sage and warrior, the Monkey King. With the lost relic in hand, the teenager unexpectedly finds himself travelling back to ancient China to join a crew of warriors from martial arts lore on a dangerous quest to free the imprisoned Monkey King.
