Sinopsis
Masao es un niño de 6 años al que le toca pasar el verano con su abuela. Aburrido al haberse ido todos sus amigos, decide ir en busca de su madre a la que nunca ha visto. Una vecina de su abuela le propone que le acompañe su marido Kikujiro (Takeshi Kitano), un antiguo yakuza reformado, quien resutará ser una más que cuestionable compañía para Masao.
Synopsis
Brash, loudmouthed and opportunistic, Kikujiro is the unlikely companion for Masao who is determined to see the mother he has never met. The two begin a series of adventures which soon turns out to be a whimsical journey of laughter and tears with a wide array of surprises and unique characters along the way.
