Sinopsis
Al norte de China, una enorme ciudad postindustrial está sumida en una niebla perpetua que atrapa a sus habitantes. Una mañana, un simple altercado entre dos adolescentes de un instituto va a forjar el destino de cuatro individuos, victimas del egoísmo familiar y de la violencia social. Lo único que comparten es la misma obsesión recurrente: huir hacia la ciudad de Manzhouli, donde según dicen, un elefante de circo permanece sentado durante horas, inmóvil, impasible, ajeno a los problemas del mundo.
Synopsis
In the northern Chinese city of Manzhouli, they say there is an elephant that simply sits and ignores the world. Manzhouli becomes an obsession for the protagonists of this film, a longed-for escape from the downward spiral in which they find themselves.
