Sinopsis
Sira, una joven costurera locamente enamorada de Ramiro, decide dejar atrás el Madrid de 1936 por irse con él a Tánger. Pero Ramiro pronto muestra su verdadera personalidad y deja a una embarazada y endeudada Sira abandonada a su suerte. La joven se verá obligada a mudarse a Tetuán, y allí montará un taller de costura ilegal. La verdadera aventura de Sira acaba de comenzar. Completamente sola, en un país desconocido, cargada de deudas de otras personas y con un corazón roto, Sira termina en Tetuán, capital del protectorado español en Marruecos. Con el fin de sobrevivir, la joven no tiene más remedio que conseguir hacer por delante lo único que sabe hacer: coser. Después de que ella finalmente ha abierto su propio negocio en Tetuán, su vida da un giro inesperado y ella termina colaborando con el servicio de inteligencia británico durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
Synopsis
Sira Quiroga is a young Spanish dressmaker engaged to a solid suitor when a suave typewriter salesman upends her life. Spain is being upended by a civil war and the new regime's growing alliances with Nazi Germany. Sira, smart, gutsy and resourceful with a Scarlett O'Hara-like ability to whip up designer duds on a moment's notice, Sira has spunk. Sira gains and loses a small fortune, is dumped by her cad of a lover in Morocco, runs guns to get the cash to start her life anew and becomes couturier to the Nazi wives stationed in Madrid. Urged on by her friend, the real-life British spy Rosalinda Fox, Sira, too, aids the British cause.
