Sinopsis
Edward y Alphonse Elric son dos hermanos dotados con la habilidad de la alquimia, la ciencia de tomar una cosa y cambiarla por otra. Sin embargo, la alquimia funciona con la teoría del intercambio equivalente: para que algo se cree, se debe sacrificar algo más de igual valor. Cuando su madre muere, Edward decide hacer lo impensable, devolviéndola a la vida rompiendo uno de los mayores tabúes de Alchemy y realizando Human Alchemy. Pensando que no tienen nada más que perder, él y Alphonse hacen su intento, pero algo sale terriblemente mal. En el proceso, Alphonse pierde su cuerpo y Edward pierde su pierna. Ed logra salvar a Al uniendo su espíritu a una armadura, pero a costa de su brazo y pierna.
Synopsis
