Sinopsis
Tres generaciones de mujeres que comparten una extraña tradición familiar: todas han quedado viudas en circunstancias extraordinarias; todas dan a luz exclusivamente a niñas. El fenómeno puede ser explicado lo mismo desde la lógica más impecable, que desde las paradojas del realismo mágico. Lo importante es que las Aparicio no vinieron a este mundo a sufrir: son mujeres contemporáneas, urbanas, decididas a tomar las riendas de su vida; la viudez les ha enseñado a no necesitar a los hombres para sobrevivir: ahora los tienen porque quieren y porque pueden.
