Sinopsis
En un pueblo de Castilla, interminables campos de cereal mecidos por el viento se extienden hasta más allá de donde alcanza la vista. Allí se encuentra un municipio tranquilo donde se ubica el matadero de Francisco (Antonio Garrido), un empresario que se dedica al procesado de la carne, importa cerdos baratos y de baja calidad desde Portugal para luego venderlos. En el matadero trabaja su cuñado Alfonso (Pepe Viyuela), veterinario de profesión, un hombre débil y un tanto cobarde que en el fondo está harto de mirar hacia otro lado certificando animales de dudosa calidad y que cualquier otro echaría para atrás.
Synopsis
In a town in Castilla, endless cereal fields swaying in the wind stretch out beyond where the eye can see. There stands a quiet municipality where Francisco (Antonio Garrido) runs his slaughterhouse, an entrepreneur specializing in meat processing who imports cheap and low-quality pigs from Portugal only to sell them. His brother-in-law Alfonso (Pepe Viyuela), a veterinarian by trade, works at the slaughterhouse. He is a weak and somewhat cowardly man who is ultimately fed up with turning a blind eye while certifying animals of dubious quality that any other inspector would have rejected.
