Sinopsis
Situado en la ciudad de Stamford, Lincolnshire, en 1996, sigue la historia de una niña de 16 años de edad, que pesa 231 libras, Rae, y que acababa de salir de un Hospital psiquiátrico, donde pasó cuatro meses internada. Rae comienza a rehacer su vida y reanudar su amistad con su mejor amiga de la infancia llamada Chloe, que no es consciente de la salud mental de Rae y de los problemas de imagen corporal que tiene, ya que le hicieron creer que ella estuvo durante todo ese tiempo en Francia. Rae intenta evitar que esta información salga a la luz pública, tratando de impresionar a los amigos de Chloe; Izzy, Archie, Chop y Finn, además de intentar tener una vida como la de cualquier adolescente.
Synopsis
Set in 1996 in Lincolnshire, the show tells the tragic and humorous story of a very troubled young girl Rae, who has just left a psychiatric hospital, where she has spent four months after attempting suicide, begins to reconnect with her best friend Chloe and her group, who are unaware of Rae's mental health and body image problems, believing she was in France for the past four months.
