Sinopsis
Incapaz de controlar a su traviesa hija Maya, una madre agotada busca la guía de una vieja bruja que vive en las afueras de la ciudad. La bruja le da a esta madre una copia mágica del cuento de hadas Thumbelina y le dice que se lo lea a Maya. Más tarde, cuando su madre se queda dormida, Maya se encoge y se sumerge en el mundo del libro. Aparece una bruja buena y le dice que está en el mundo de los sueños de su madre y que para volver a la normalidad debe encontrar la manera de despertar a su madre. Para hacer esto, debe viajar a una tierra lejana del sur para hablar con el Príncipe de Cristal, quien la ayudará a llegar a casa. Durante su viaje, Maya enfrenta muchas pruebas y dificultades; en el camino se hace amiga de miembros del mundo de los sueños, que se unen para ayudarla a llegar a la tierra del sur.
Synopsis
Unable to control her mischievous young daughter Maya, an exhausted mother seeks the guidance of an old witch living on the edge of town. The witch gives this mother a magical copy of the fairy tale Thumbelina and tells her to read this to Maya. Later, when her mother falls asleep, Maya shrinks and is pulled inside the world of the book. A good witch appears and tells her that she is in her mother's dream world and that in order to return to normal, she must find a way to wake up her mother. To do this, she must travel to a faraway southern land to talk to the Crystal Prince, who will help her reach home. During her journey Maya faces many trials and hardships; along the way she befriends members of the dream world, who band together to help her reach the land of the South.
