Sinopsis
Todos somos, en mayor o menor medida, fanáticos de alguien. Todos amamos irracionalmente a esa persona que no está a nuestro lado y que constituye el encanto inalcanzable de quien admiramos. Queremos ser el otro, estar con el otro. A veces nos conformamos con contemplarle a distancia; otras veces, buscamos un encuentro. Ser fan propone siempre una relación que por definición es desigual. Uno ama de antemano. Se enamora de una proyección, de algo que uno inventa. Soy tu fan no es una historia de grandes amores ni de ídolos inalcanzables, sino de personajes reales que nos muestran cómo podemos volver fanáticos de alguien que está a nuestro lado pero a quien, por alguna misteriosa razón, no podemos acceder.
Synopsis
We all have someone that we obsess over. We all are capable of loving irrationally what we don’t have and construct an unattainable charm in the people we admire. Sometimes we want to be someone else, to be with someone else. Sometimes we settle on appreciating from afar. Other times, we seek out an encounter. To be a fan means, by definition, to be on unequal terms. One loves beforehand, falling for a facade that could very well be invented. This mexican romcom explores these feelings in depth as examined through the eyes of a fan.
