Synopsis
On one side of the walls lies freedom. On the other, the protagonists of this series: Cata, Diego, Culopato, Mehdi, Mari, Eugenio, Feli, Isidoro, Bárbara and Yago. Their stories talk about everything life can give and take away from a person, the consequences of every small decision, guilt and fear. Shot over several months in four penitentiary centers - Acebuche (Almeria), Madrid I Women (Alcala de Henares), Madrid V (Soto del Real) and Teixeiro (A Coruna) - “Muros” dives into where only they are, a microcosm with its own routines and rules that starts with a headcount at dawn and ends when the cells close late in the afternoon. Ten stories that intertwine with many others to form together a never-before-seen portrait of a reality isolated from the world.
